A messy desk is something we all find dreadful. However, a messy earth is something we do not give enough attention to. It is common knowledge that plastic is detrimental to our environmental. This is because it is not biodegradable. In other words, it takes more than just the earth's natural forces to get rid of plastic. Oftentimes, this leads to a variety of adverse effects on the earth's environment.

In attempt to reduce pollution, my friends and I decided to clean up a beach in Bangsaen, Thailand. It was a well worth, two-hour journey arranged by a Love Ocean Life club at my school. We were split into 4 groups and were asked to pick up any trash we encountered while walking around the beach. To my surprise, my group ended up collecting 5 kilograms of non-biodegradable waste which we then assorted into the recycling bins.

Overall, it was a great team effort and I wish to do more cleanups in the near future.
